A rather windy & often wet afternoon caused the opening ceremony to be held inside Arbory School & the Sports were cancelled except for the "Marathon" & Walk. But many people still enjoyed the event, meeting others in the tents & having their traditional LCK tea. Our Opener was Mr Richard "Milky" Quayle, of TT fame, & Mrs Lydia Quayle kindly crowned our festival Princess Miss Ashley Pilling. Thanks to all. |
